Chaozhou Woodcarving (Chinese: 潮州木雕), also known as Teochew Woodcarving, is a form of Chinese wood carving originated from the Tang Dynasty – the golden age of Chinese arts and culture dated 618-906 A.D.
This art form got its name from the region it originated: Chaoshan, a region in the east of Guangdong Province.
Chaoshan people used plenty of this wood carving in the creation of their splendid buildings.
This exhibition showcases artist B. Li’s collection of Chaozhou woodcarving antique items.
